In a shocking turn of events, the National Honor Society has announced that they plan to do something productive. At their fourth meeting of the month, the executive board presented their new action plan for the 2015-16 fee collection period. Along with modifications to community service requirements and the institution of property and sales dues, the presenters enthralled the audience with talk of actual productive goals. A few students actually looked up from their phones as the presenters spoke of “doing stuff”, and the advisers even paused their money counting as the president mentioned “accomplishing something”.
When asked how he planned to approach such an ambitious objective, the head presenter responded, “Well, we’re the best that Westford Academy has to offer. The Tadmuck chapter has a long history of prestige, and we all hold great pride in our membership. I know this is a big step for NHS, but I really do believe we have the ability to make progress on, you know, something.”
“I’m really excited to see how this unfolds,” voiced another highly honorable club member, “there are just so many opportunities! We could, like, plant the school a tree, or maybe even go to a nursing home! I think some of the residents there still owe us dues.”
A formal, mandatory induction for the idea will be held Friday, October 16th. Tickets will be sold in the cafe for $10.
